34 Analects of Heironeous
Followers of Heironeous, the god of valour, chivalry, daring and war, follow a set of mottoes or analects that guide their actions and interactions. Known analects are as follows:
1 Protect and defend the innocent, those who cannot defend themselves.
2 Be a gentleman beyond reproach to all ladies
3 Blessed be the parent and their guidance
4 Blessed be the children and their innocence.
5 Suffer no evil, no matter what form it takes.
6 The people are the light we must guard, the fire that fuels our righteous fury
7 We must all follow the correct path, so that we may learn from those who have trod it before us.
8 Respect firstly Heironeous, then Heironeous' chosen, and so on such that all know the order of our lord.
9 Order begets order, through vigilance we maintain this equilibrium
10 Tyranny is insidious and takes many forms, tear it out root and stem
11 Inexorable is our faith
12 In times of need is when Heironeous can mostly easily be found
13 Fear no evil when your heart is full of the light and faith in Hieroneous
14 There is no price for daring for even failure in attempt brings the glory of courage
15 Only those that fight with honor can find glory in victory
16 Destroy that which brings dishonor without repentance
17 Walk the path of light, that others might follow you; oppose those who walk the path of darkness.
18 Justice is the lifeblood that sustains society. It must be available to all
19 Foul is the justice that is impartial and cruel
20 The collective is only as strong as it's ability to protect it's weakest member
21 There is no darkness deep enough that the light cannot penetrate it
22 Faith dispels fear
23 Warriors must be pure of heart and pure of intent in order to bring glory to their cause
24 Fly into battle with valorous fury and rage, so that all may see our fearlessness
25 Glory is eternal, but so too is the pain of cowardice
26 Make enemies of the faith pay in blood for each injustice
27 Chivalry is most importantly displayed on the battlefield
28 Slaughter not, those who yield and those who do not bare steel
29 Crusades strike fear only to those who's actions take them away from the light
30 Holy is the man that makes the ultimate sacrifice through daring and valour to save allies and innocents
31 Sing much of feats in battle so that others may know of their glory
32 Show mercy where mercy is due
33 Show fury where fury is due
34 Never die easy; strive always for a valorous end.
