The Kurric Monks
Culture
The Kurric Monk's beliefs center around the detachment from emotion and the focus on one's actions. Kurric Monks belive that the best action is the one that helps the greatest number of people. They believe emotions and attachment to the self hold one back from performing the proper actions at any given time. All monks are expected to follow a uniform appearance, wearing the same clothes and shaving their heads. Puting effort into ones appearance is considered to be attachment in one's self. They are not allowed to build connections to anything, only reason for living is the upholding of their justice. They are not allowed any personal possessions besides their robes, which they are expected to wash frequently.
When a monk leaves to become an adventurer, they still abide by the rules of the monastary. Any treasure they earn is to be put to the benefit of the party. These monks are nuetral in alignment, but they frequently will combat evil as the actions of evil creatures have more harm than good on a large number of people.
Volunteer work is a big part of the order. They are not expected to take a reward for their work, and the work they do must be beneficial to others.
