The Free City, Najankora

NAJANKORA

The city’s first stone was placed by a ruler of the Najanbhat kingdom early in the 2nd age. For centuries the city was the gem of the kingdom, raking in tons of gold which filled its coffers. All that changed one fateful night over a simple game of chance. Legend has it, that the King at the time was so sure he was going to win, that he bet the city … and lost. The wealthy sea Captain who won the bet, renamed the city in honour of his ship, "The Kora" which mysteriously crashed into the Dragon’s Teeth that very same night.

Government

The city ‘s day to day operations are overseen by the High Council which is made up of the city sheriff, the harbour master and the head of a few prominent guilds. These eight figures shape Najankora on a day to day basis, but though they administer the running of the city, it is ruled by Captain Jezzkah Breeze, and has been for the past 15 years.
