Background

Born in the vibrant forests of Viranue on the continent of Vicrune, Xelira Veythen is the daughter of an elven ranger and a Viranuean huntress. Her early years were spent studying at home, immersed in the natural world and the teachings of her parents. As she grew, so too did her restlessness and desire to understand the deeper truths of existence. This yearning led her to Qet, where she enrolled at the prestigious College of Valeheart. There, Xelira became part of a team tasked with recovering and analyzing magical treatises from the ancient College of Aradest. These lessons, drawn from a bygone era, opened her eyes to the vast and untapped mysteries of the Aether.

Unable to ignore the revelations she encountered, Xelira sought greater understanding and turned her attention to the groundbreaking work being conducted at the Silvercoast College under Arch-Arcanist Kaelorn Veylan. She was captivated by his theories, seeing within them a framework to measure and comprehend the natural laws governing the Aether’s behavior. Her admiration for Veylan’s work propelled her to join his efforts, but his downfall and the subsequent rise of Aran Tetharos marked a turning point in her journey.
