Captain Asreel Felloy

Flesh Pirate

Born into slavery under a noble family in Shaewrend, Margory endured years of cruelty and mistreatment. Yet, amidst her suffering, she was exposed to an education far beyond what most slaves could dream of. The tutors assigned to her owners’ children inadvertently provided her with knowledge and skills that would one day shape her destiny.

As she grew into adulthood, Margory’s spirit refused to be broken. During a voyage to the Vircunean continent, she seized a daring opportunity to escape. Leading a revolt aboard the ship carrying both slaves and nobles, she liberated her fellow captives, overwhelmed the crew, and commandeered the vessel. Among those she freed were Bars, a clever former clerk, and Seraphine, a mysterious and ethereal woman who would become her shadow and adopted daughter.

With her newfound allies, Margory set course for the Crimson Isles of Cruentum, leaving behind a legacy of defiance. Upon their arrival, she and Bars sold the captured ship and its treasures, dividing the wealth among the freed slaves to give them a chance at new lives. For Margory, however, this was only the beginning.

To the people of the isles, she became known as "Asreel," a Tiefling whose name quickly grew into legend. Tales of the slave-turned-liberator spread like wildfire, her deeds igniting hope among the oppressed and fear among slavers. Her exploits eventually reached the ears of High Lady Esrateth Vanron, who offered her a deal: Margory would hunt slaver ships in exchange for a vessel crafted by the renowned Vanron-Lurk Shipwrights.

Thus, the Crimson Outcast was born—a magnificent ship and a tool of vengeance. With Bars, Seraphine, and a crew of kindred spirits at her side, Captain Asreel began carving her name into the annals of history. She became a scourge of the Glass Sea, a relentless force against slavers and a savior to the enslaved.

Over the years, Captain Asreel’s reputation only grew. Her debt to Vanron long paid, she continued her crusade by choice, calling South Port her home. A living symbol of resilience, freedom, and justice, Margory Felloy—known to the world as Captain Asreel—embodies the unyielding spirit of Cruentum, ensuring that no chain remains unbroken.

Yet, as with all great legends, Asreel’s story is shrouded in mystery and rumor. Some whisper that she is no ordinary Tiefling, but a devil exiled from the Hells, her mortal form concealing infernal power. Her closest allies are also subjects of wild speculation: Valaine Masloy, her enigmatic first mate, is said to have sold his soul to her in exchange for eternal life, while Seraphine’s otherworldly beauty and deadly precision have led many to believe she is a fallen angel bound to serve Asreel in penance for her sins.

These tales, spun and embellished by sailors over drinks and moonlit nights, have only added to the mythos of the Crimson Outcast. Whether she is devil, liberator, or something in between, Captain Asreel remains an icon of both fear and hope—a beacon to the oppressed and a warning to those who would seek to enslave them.
