His rise from nameless deckhand to notorious pirate captain seemed inevitable, propelled by his sharp wit, unrelenting charm, and a ruthlessness that earned him the title “The Wretched Lurk.”
Arastmith became captain of the Wretched Dame, a ship as infamous as the man who steered her. The Dame was fast, sturdy, and terrifying to her prey, known to slip between blockades and outpace any navy ship foolish enough to pursue her. The settlement thrived under Arastmith’s leadership. His first mate, Misteth Vanron, continued to captain the Wretched Dame and grow Arastmith’s reputation on the seas, while the colony became a vital hub for trade. His first mate, Misteth Vanron, turned to shipbuilding, and Cruentum began to thrive as a center of shipwright craft and trade. Meanwhile, Arastmith embraced his new role as a nation-builder, though he never lost his mischievous streak. He presided over Cruentum with a mix of charm, wisdom, and pragmatism, earning both the loyalty and grudging respect of those who followed him.
Full Mast and Asleep at the Wheel
Arastmith Lurk’s death is as legendary as his life. On a crisp autumn evening, the famed pirate lord was found naked but for his hose and a single boot, sprawled on the floor with one foot still in bed, a bottle of rum in one hand and a raging erection to greet the dawn.
