Exoziv Mountains

The Exoziv Mountains are a sign of national pride for the Xiverith, having defended them against the armies of invading powers six hundred years ago and kept them entirely safe. The mountain range covers the entire eastern and northern border of Xiveri.

Geography

The Exoziv Mountains are a very treacherous mountain range. Though they're covered in xaltheng trees, their mountainsides tend to be sheer drops that, though they can support trees with sturdy roots, cannot support humans. There also aren't a lot of rocks below the peak, which means that there aren't a lot of sturdy handholds to grab onto, making it even more dangerous. However, despite its danger, if one does reach the top one will have a spectacular view of all of Xiveri and its neighbouring countries, a grand, sweeping panorama full of beautiful colours and lush vegetation.

Fauna & Flora

The flora is made up mostly of xaltheng trees. Due to the sheerness of its mountainsides, if there are any animals that manage to live in them, humans aren't aware of them.

Natural Resources

As mountains do, it offers mainly natural ores and stone below the surface layer of dirt. It also offers xaltheng wood, as xaltheng trees grow plentifully on these mountains.

History

Attention was brought to the Exoziv Mountains with the publication of The Thengoshia, in which its highest peak, Mount Ayothel, is featured as a main location. It became a symbol of national pride when it stopped attacking forces from even entering Xiveri's borders six hundred years ago, symbolizing their independence and their resistance to invasion.

Tourism

The only tourists visiting the Exoziv Mountains are Xiveriths going to see their symbol of national pride.
