Mary Gaiden
Mary Gaiden is the owner and proprietor of Killjoy, in New Vegas's Westside. Mary herself is a firearms merchant, modifying many of her weapons to order, prior to selling them. Indeed, despite being located in Westside, she has earned a reputation for only accepting high-paying, custom orders, her regulars include mafia bosses, gang leaders, CEOs, High-end Mercs, and she is even rumored to be the only one that tunes the Courier's personal sidearm.
Born in Northside in 2276, Mary grew up in the rise of the Free Economic Zone of the Mojave, and saw the economic rise of her home, and its change from just another suburb, into the neighborhoods of the elite that would go on to define Northside. With many of the original residents being displaced by these mansions and luxury apartments, Mary went with them into Westside. In 2294 she got her hands on a little store in the northern section of Westside, and started tuning up the weapons of the local gangs. Within two years, her work had earned her enough of a reputation to start having members of the Ruling Families come to her to work on their pieces. By the turn of the century, Mary had built the most sought after firearms store in the Southwest. She does not take walk-ins, and any work she does carries a 2000 cap service charge.
