Jotun's Peak
Population: ~400
One of the nukes targeted at Montreal was driven off course by nearby missile defense systems, landing at the northernmost edge of the Green Mountains. A group of Norwegian tourists found shelter in the basement of the Jay Peak resort, and their children would re-emerge decades later after the nuclear winter had subsided to establish themselves in the ruined valley. The name "Jotun's Peak" came from the survivors mistakenly believing the Jay in Jay Peak to be the English letter J and an abbreviation for "jotunn" , the giants of Norse mythology.
