Session 7b: Two Awakenings
General Summary
Session 7B began with Cutter and Fisto awakening on a beach, immediately assaulted by the smell of manure. They looked inland to see a walled-off settlement built around a pre-war sewage plant. They investigated the settlement and found a large plantation with a diverse population of workers, including super mutants, ghouls, robots, and synths. They met the owner, Roger Warwick, who hired them to exterminate a hatch of mirelurks. The players obliged, and Fisto pacified the last two mutant crabs, but when he failed, they severed both of his robotic arms.
The players returned to the plantation and were praised by the workers, who threw a party in their honor. Fisto got his arms reattached, and the party began. Cutter swapped stories with the other super mutants about their time as tribal raiders, and Fisto DJed, picking up some clients along the way. While servicing them, something in him changed, he felt empty, and dedicated himself to self-discovery and self-determination. In the morning, he started this by getting a sick flames paint job and some upgrades.
The players decided they needed to get going, and Roger Warwick offered them a ride in his boat if they could get it fixed. They traveled to the Atom Cats' garage to try to work out a deal. Fisto, upon meeting the Atom Cats, was enamored by their style and sought to join. The players worked out a deal with Zeke, the head cat. In exchange for the part, the players would defend the Atom Cats from the Crimson Hand lieutenant assigned to extort them.
When the mobster, Tony, arrived and negotiated with the players, he asked that the Atom Cats provide one more tribute so that he could arrange a "change in management" in the mob, freeing the Atom Cats and others from tribute and terror. The players got Zeke to agree, and he too threw a celebration in their honor and inducted Fisto into the Atom Cats, bestowing him with the signature leather jacket. At long last, the players returned to the plantation, repaired the boat, and received a radio message from Benjamin, instructing them to rendezvous at Grey Garden University.
