Session 48.5

General Summary

Jimbob astral projects and enters the astral rift, he witnesses unspeakable truths of the universe, thousands of entities staring hungrily at the portal to the real world. In particular, he sees a mass of green glowing mist with some sort of feathered egg or sleeping avian creature inside it, and a dark void holding a one-armed puppet made of ash on strained chains. He also feels a dark presence behind him smelling of tobacco that glared hateful and determined at the thirsting gods of the astral rift before pulling him out. Jimbob's mind is irrevocably changed and the arcane rituals described in the tome begin to make sense to him but his former mechanics skills are lost to him. Simmons asks him to check out a security breach. Jimbob does so, riding the astral strings now visible to him, that Simmons has been using this whole time, to move through the facility to the breach. He finds Harry and plays the part of a spooky wizard. Harry says he seeks arcane knowledge to complete the ritual that his master died to complete. Jimbob has heard of Harry from the other players and tries to dissuade him from this dark path as rituals like that are never as they seem. When this fails Jimbob attacked Kenny's former friend used the shadows to move unseen and instantly but was done in by Jimbobs powerful arcane Assaultron he summoned by mistake. Jimbob brought him back to the rift room. Imprisoning him and taunting him as he sealed him in a broom closet so he could speak to the other players on what to do. Attempting to scare him straight Jimbob admonishes Harry but when he hits a nerve Harry moves through the darkness in an instant and wipes the floor with Jimbob. Simmons tries to stop him but Harry escapes the facility through the shadows with Jimbobs tome.
