Session 21: Jason's Dilemia
General Summary
In this session, the players traveled north to confront the super-mutant Senator Collins with Jason's decision about the cure. They passed through Starlight, where they considered sabotaging their competition in the Nuka Cola business, Newka Cola, but ultimately decided against it. They then went to Sanctuary, where Jason told the senator that he needed to have the project resume or he would reveal the scheme and have him removed from office. The senator agreed, albeit sadly. The players then went to the lab to set up their scheme.
Jason planned to steal the cure from the lab once the project was completed and purge the data, allowing them to distribute the cure without the risk of the mandate. They recruited Jason's old buddy from when he worked at the lab, Todd, to monitor the project, enabling them to steal the cure. Kutter and Todd bonded over the serum that they both took to hopefully improve their mental capacities, despite Todd not even being a super-mutant.
Jason headed inside to talk to his old friends at the lab, including the receptionist, the engineering team, and finally Isaac Karlin, the director of biology. He tried to slyly ask Isaac how long the project would take, but Isaac got the feeling Jason was involved with the samples coming in again, wondering what strings Jason had pulled. However, he answered that the cure would be done in about a month. Karlin implied he was deeper into the conspiracy by asking Jason if he thought Collins would get reelected, calling him a stand-up guy and stating that he really got the bigger picture. Meanwhile, Cecile sneaked off and seduced a scientist.
Finally, they all headed home, and Jason prepared to take the cure, contemplating for a while.
