Session 14: Radscorpions and Relaxation
General Summary
The session began with Kutter and Fisto getting bored of the investigation at the power plant and deciding to go to the Galactic Zone for some fun. Along the way, they encountered a radscorpion, which, after stinging Kutter, was tamed by Fisto. The trio continued on their way, arriving at the Galactic Zone. They parked their scorpion under some sand and placed a wet floor sign over it to warn others.
They proceeded to enjoy the rides in the Galactic Zone before going to the theater to watch a bunch of pre-war movies. The highlight was "GRAH: The Sequel," which Kutter greatly enjoyed, now feeling the effects of the radscorpion venom. Eventually, RM and Kenny wandered over to join them. They wandered around the park, seeing the aftermath of the others' joyride, almost getting stung by the radscorpion, and observing the rides half broken from Kutter's weight. They then went to the theater to watch the movies. By this point, Kutter was naked except for a GRAH T-shirt he had wrapped around his head like a bandana.
Leroy eventually arrived too, insisting they needed to snap Kutter out of his trip. From the ceiling, Kutter dove on him to "assassinate" him with a balloon axe, but to his dismay, it broke with the first hit. Kenny and Fisto brought RM to the one attraction she had shown interest in, Vault-Tec: Among The Stars. She said it was like the Institute's future when they were back on top of the wasteland. Fisto tried to flirt, but RM didn't respond. Kenny, wanting to have a little more fun, got the intrusive thought to punch one of the rides. He used the ride to jump high in the air and then back down onto the structure, punching through it and reaching all the way to the reactor core, which detonated. Somehow, this didn't kill him but gave him an awesome scar on his chest. RM gave him a full body bandage and treated him for radiation burns before they moved on.
Kutter and Fisto had quite a day already, so they lagged behind while Kenny and Leroy went ahead to the location of the next Star Core inside Kiddie Kingdom, which was covered by radioactive fog. Kenny bought a hazmat suit to get through safely, and then they headed to the Star Core's location inside the funhouse. They were warned it was full of ghouls, but they pressed on. They breached the funhouse and fought through the ghouls, reaching the Star Core. However, their way out was blocked, so they had to fight through the entire funhouse to escape. They called for help and waited with bated breath.
