Setting
Welcome to the Keystone Commonwealth, the former heartland of American manufacturing and steel production. Now, all that remains of the commonwealth's pre-war glory are the rusting and decaying husks of ancient steel and textile mills which dot the overgrowth of the forests of the commonwealth. Our story takes place within the KOP Wasteland, a large stretch of wastes that are outlined by the remnants of the ancient pre-war highways of the I-476, I-76, I-176 and route 222. From the lofty heights of Iron City within the ruins of Allentown, down to the gambling dens of the Valley Forge Casino within King of Prussia. The decaying bodies of manufacturing plants and steel mills stand within the barren wastes of the Iron Hills, as the irradiated forests of the French Creek State Forest have grown up over the course of two centuries to reclaim the ruins of the old cities of the Keystone. But these derelict cities and ghostly forests are not barren, but teeming with life, irradiated animals are hunted and even farmed by the settlers within the Keystone, and the height of power within the wasteland is the great Keystone Chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel, also called the Kodiak Brotherhood of Steel. Recently, the keystone has been torn apart with war between the remnants of the Enclave and the brotherhood, all the while common settlers hang in the balance.
Starting Area
We begin this wild adventure in the Iron Hills Wasteland, a section of the KOP Wasteland that lies to the north of route 422 and is controlled and protected by the Keystone Chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel, led by Elder Kodiak. You will all arrive in the settlement of Hoover Station, home to Ol' Edd's Country Radio Staton, one of the most prominent radio channels within the area. How you came to be in Hoover Station is your own, but the opportunities afforded to you within this settlement are too good to pass up. I'll work with all of you during character creation so that you have motives that can fit into the world and potentially jive together enough.
What did you say your name was again?
So, with this campaign we will be doing a different rpg system than dnd 5e. We will be trying the actual Fallout rpg system, I have attached at the end of this part of the article a link to the core rules we'll be using. As for character creation, the same general rules of character creation apply as they did within the Fallout games, you can still assign points to SPECIAL Stats and Skills, but unlike the games you can choose who or what you want to be within the world. So, when you make your character, you can make them from one of the following origins: Brotherhood of Steel, Ghoul, Super Mutant, Mister Handy, Survivor or Vault Dweller. Whichever you choose just to make sure to follow what the rulebook says for their SPECIAL stats or their skills and perks. Page 50 of the core book will have everything you need to create this character.

After this, all you have to do is make a backstory for this person. I will ask all of you to genuinely think about who you want to play as in this post-apocalyptic wasteland, how and where they grew up, who raised them, what made them want to go out into the wasteland. In this same line of thought, I want all of you to have some level of personal goal that you want your character to achieve at some point within the campaign, this goal can be as unrealistic or as realistic as you all want but make it appropriate for your character to have. P.S. I will question all of you on the goal of your character before session 0, so if you choose some bullshit goal, be ready to explain why your character thinks they want to do that.
Who do you work for?
When you finally sit down to write the backstory for your character, I would like you to make a subsection of it called "ties". This section of your backstory should be dedicated to what organizations if any within the KOP Wasteland or beyond you hold allegiance or ties to. If you ran with a raider gang when you were younger, if you broke away or washed out of the brotherhood of steel, or even if you are an enclave sleeper agent. Any and all of those options are viable ties that you can have as a character within the game, and these will be a fantastic starting point for me to be able to write your characters into the setting.
DISCLAIMER: I will not be accepting characters that lack a backstory and a "ties" section, if you can't come up with anything then please work with me to find something that suits you and what kind of character you wanna make.
How many of you are there?
For the sake of my own sanity and questing guidelines, I'm only going to have 4-5 players any more than that and they'll be way too many questlines to explore and believe it or not the world here is not super-duper big, even when you include the Philly Dark Zone, which y'all will only realistically being able to go to when you get into the end game level of the game.
Right, so where do we start?
Join this roll20 campaign link, from there it's the usual process of make an account and then make a character. After I see that you've made a character in the campaign I'll send you an invite to the discord server I'll be making for this campaign specifically.
