Pacifacus Martians (Pa-ci-fa-cus)

The Pacifacus Martians started as an idealist group that was part of Mars' first colonies. Over the centuries as Mars grew and the populations were no longer relying on immigration to grow. The Pacifacus was losing the ability to get people to join their communities due to drinking alcohol, brews (even the non-alcohol types that were often medical in nature), fighting, and even weightlifting were not allowed under their ideology that later processed to be followed as a strict religion. This separated them from the main populations and eventually, as more of Mars became livable they were given their own settlement that they requested during the formation of the Martian Republic. They were also allowed to form their own government so that they didn't feel the need to conform to the Martian Republic's laws and so that they can't impose laws on the rest of the Martians on Mars that didn't want to live like them.
Centuries later they started to look more different from the other Martians. The lack of genetic drift allowed them to evolve differently from the other Martians and more quickly. It was easier to tell who was a Pacifacus and who was not without needing to look at clothing, and religious symbols, or talk to and debate them. They were seen as harmless and easier to trust than other Martians. When they started building ships for space travel, no one grew concerned on Mars of planetary war. Instead, the Martian Republic entered in trade deals that allowed them to pay the Pacifacus fleets to ship the goods they wished to sell and buy from Titan and Earth. As long as they were not weapons or military-related deals. When pirates became an issue, the Martian Republic started sending military escorts to deter them which the Pacifacus had mixed feelings about. They liked not being raided and brutally killed but didn't like the idea of the escort encouraging possible violence on their behalf.
During the purge of Sol system. They protested against the conflict. They revealed plans to the enemy that openly said that they will purge all of the filth from the system. The Pacifacus kept pursuing peace and set up a blockade stopping the Martian Republic's plan of attack that would have helped guarantee a victory for the combined fleets of Mars, Titan, Earth Refugees, and the other smaller colonies of the Sol system that has not been wiped out yet.  The mysterious enemy boarded their ships a broadcasted the sounds of the Pacifacus being tortured and killed.  
The amount of Pacifacus that survived were about three hundred that weren't part of the blockade.  After the escape, they settled on New Titan and were ostracized due to their people's actions and were forced under the rule of the Empire and are to this day not allowed to own or pilot a space ship.
