Frigus Mountains
Hopefully you're bundled up, because Frigus Mountains is as cold as it gets. Chilling winds pierce the beautiful winterscape. Powdery white snow covers the grand mountains, and dazzling ice formations surround all that is Frigus Mountains.
The unforgiving temperature can be hard to tolerate for those who are not Ice Fairies. But they make the best of it! A variety of communities inhabit Frigus Mountains, from fishermen, ice-skaters, skiers and beyond.
Primary Locations
The Polar Bear and Breakfast ┊The Polar Bear and Breakfast, where the warmth of hospitality meets the chill of the mountains. Slippery Slopes ┊A renowned ski resort, famous for its four main skiing tracks that progress in difficulty. Bunny Hill, Express, Penguin Ruin, or Ridge Run, it’s sure to be a thrilling (and chilling) experience! Radiance Rink ┊The Radiance Ice Rink. Skate on the frozen waters in or around the Frigus Mountains. They never melt and are there all year round.Environment
- Snow stretches as far as the eye can see, constantly falling overhead. Even the pine trees are draped in a freezingly soft blanket of white.
- Arctic foxes, penguins, deer, polar bears, walrus, harp seals, snowy owls and more can be found inhabiting the area.
- The mesmerizing and colorful Northern Lights can be clearly seen at certain periods of the year.
- There are many small towns and villages scattered about. The faint glow of warm and welcoming log cabins offer a nice and homey feel.
Culture
- A little cold never stops an Ice Fairy from having fun! Skiing, snowboarding, and sledding are very common pastimes.
- The icy waters are full of ripe fish. Because of this, there are smaller fishing villages that scatter the area.
- The sense of pride and community is very strong throughout Frigus Mountains. But the locals are hesitant to branch out, often staying within the bounds of the mountains.
- The Penguin Parade Festival is a celebration where penguins parade about, allowing locals and visitors alike to partake in a variety of penguin-themed activities. This includes dressing up, creating crafts, sculptures, and more.
- Winter Solstice is also held annually.
