Hand Crossbow

Proficiency with a hand crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it. Hand crossbows deal 1d6 piercing damage on a hit.
Ammunition. You can use a hand crossbow to make a ranged attack only if you have crossbow bolts. Each time you attack with the hand crossbow, you expend one crossbow bolt. Drawing the crossbow bolt from a crossbow bolt case is part of the attack. At the end of the battle, you can recover half your expended crossbow bolts by taking a minute to search the battlefield. If you use a hand crossbow to make a melee attack, you treat the hand crossbow as an improvised weapon.
Light. A hand crossbow is small and easy to handle, making it ideal for use when fighting with two weapons.
Loading. Because of the time required to load this weapon, you can fire only one crossbow bolt from it when you use an action, bonus action, or reaction to fire it, regardless of the number of attacks you can normally make.
Range. A hand crossbow's normal range is 30 feet, and it's long range 120 feet. When attacking a target beyond normal range, you have disadvantage on the attack roll. You can't attack a target beyond the hand crossbow's long range.
