Master Throom
Master (a.k.a. The Ever Vigilant)
Master Throom is a very large, but jolly and wise, Loxodon and Master of the Order of The Ever Vigilant monastic order. He resides in the Monastery of The Ever Vigilant, and is himself commonly referred to as The Ever Vigilant, as befits his rank and position. He is prone to spouting apparent words of Wisdom that oft times seem ill timed or placed, only to later on be revealed as timely and helpful. Master Throom also seems to have a thing for different types of teas and collects them on his travels throughout the spheres of the material plane. He is also want to talk of fantastical places and things he has seen over the centuries of his vigil. Master Throom is a kind and joyful soul, but when asked about what it is he and his Order watch for, his mood turns dark and dour, never answering clearly and he almost seems fearful and scared to even think about the subject. The only way to truly get him mad, some say, is to mention the names of what they are watching for.
Master Throom is very old, and he makes no secret of this, oft telling people his time is coming to an end, and that soon his Vigil will be over and it will be for the next generation to maintain the watch.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Master Throom is a large Loxodon, a humanoid bipedal elephant, from Ravnica. His skin is Grey and leathery, with small wiry wisps of hair. He often uses his large trunk to carry out mundane tasks and in combat uses it as another appendage to strike with. He is a very large and imposing figure as he is very tall and very heavy set, with huge broad shoulders and massive ears and tusks.

Master Throom fights with the power of the Sun, able to strike across medium distances and make himself a beacon of light

Personal history
Master Throom was born in the world of Ravnica, a place outside of the normal Great Cosmological Wheel. At some point in his youth he claims to have been a "...bit of a tear-away", although the details of just what he used to do or get up to are unclear. Later, he at some point joined the Order of The Ever Vigilant and trained under its Master, an individual that is unknown as Master Throom is the oldest at the Monastery and only he is old enough to have met the previous Master of the Order. After "...much training and, dare i say, learning self control" Throom became the previous Master's protege and later still, upon the Master's passing, an event that itself is surrounded in mystery, Throom became the Master of the Order, also known as The Ever Vigilant.
Education
Master Throom claims to have been a troubled youth, studying at the school of hard knocks before eventually joining the Order and learning from its Master and other monks.

Intellectual Characteristics
Master Throom is very philosophical and tends towards words of wisdom at every opportunity. These words of wisdom, however, often seem unrelated or nonsensical, only to then have their true meaning become apparent sometime later, sometimes centuries later. Master Throom is also contemplative and slow to anger, something he claims took centuries to learn. He is also fond of the odd joke and is often caught chuckling to himself for no apparent reason. Some monks believe that he is in-fact laughing at something that has not happened yet, that he can see the future. Others believe he is laughing at something happening far away, perhaps on another sphere, and that he can see it happening from wherever he is. Master Throom just claims ".....oh, im sorry, something just tickled me is all".
