Taern Hornblade
Taern "Thunderspells" Hornblade is a human man and former High Mage of Silverymoon, having succeeded Alustriel Silverhand in 1369 DR and being succeeded by Methrammar Aerasumé in 1489 DR. Age has tempered his youthful reckless nature into a ponderous and calculating man. In the 13th century DR, Taern was a masterful mage, facing off against a dracolich and surviving. In 1489 DR, Taern was dispatched to the Council of Waterdeep by Methrammar Aerasumé in order to act as Silverymoon's delegate, selected for his skill in diplomacy.
