Lord Maximilian Cromwell

One of the minor lords of Waterdeep is Lord Maximilian Cromwell of House Cromwell. He is a lover of monsters and beasts keeping a number of specimens to study. As a child he wanted to be a adventurer but was forced into the politics of Waterhaven by his family. Now as a old man he still has the spark of adventure but is content to just study monsters and publish almanacs on them. 
His books, the latest of which is titled On the Monsters and Magical Beasts On and About the Sword Mountains and Surrounding Areas usually just called The Monsters. The publications have always undersold to the more popular guides by Volothamp Geddarm. His newest book The Anatomy of The Beasts of The Sword Coast, alternatively titled The Anatomy of Beasts, is a attempt at a more academic approach intended for mages and biologists as well as more academically minded adventurers.
