Zendar and the Dusk Elf Bandits
Zendar, the eyepatched leader of a band of dusk elves, bears the scars of a brutal past. Once part of a proud and thriving people, he and his kin were driven into the shadowed forests by Strahd's cruelty. Strahd himself slaughtered all the dusk elf women, leaving Zendar and the survivors without hope of continuing their line. Desperate and embittered, Zendar turned to banditry to keep his people alive in the unforgiving land of Barovia.
A hardened man, Zendar carries the weight of his people’s survival on his shoulders, his heart steeled by the loss of his kin and the endless cycle of violence forced upon him. Despite his ruthless exterior, there is a spark of leadership within him that longs for more than a life of lawless scavenging.
After a fateful encounter with the party, Zendar’s path changed. Inspired by their mission and the promise of something greater, he led his crew to become the first settlers of Bastion, a village hidden in the mists. There, he hopes to carve out a future for his people, far from the shadow of Strahd’s tyranny. Though still a formidable warrior, Zendar’s focus has shifted from survival to rebuilding, determined to give his kin a new chance at life.
