Strahd's Invitation
After the intense battle defending Barovia from the undead horde led by Volenta, one of Strahd's brides, the party is presented with a critical decision. Volenta ceased her attack upon receiving a telepathic message from Strahd and delivered his personal invitation: a request for the party to dine at Castle Ravenloft in three days' time. In return, Strahd promises to halt the undead assaults on the village. He assures them that the Rite of Hospitality will be honored, guaranteeing their safe passage to and from the castle.
