Owlbears at Dusk - Completed
As you approach, the Rictavio turns to face you, revealing a neatly trimmed beard flecked with gray. His eyes, sharp and intelligent, size you up immediately. “Well, looks like I've got company,” he says, his voice calm but tinged with frustration. “Perfect timing. Perhaps you can help.”
He gestures to an empty, smaller cage beside the one holding the tiger. The lock on it has been broken clean off, the metal twisted beyond repair. “Owlbear cub. Stolen during the night,” he explains, his brow furrowed with irritation. “Didn’t hear a damn thing. Whoever took it was quick and quiet.”
He straightens, pulling his coat tighter against the chill in the air, his expression softening slightly. “You wouldn’t happen to have seen anything suspicious on the road, would you? If you find them—or the cub—I’ll owe you a favor. And I’m not the sort to forget such things. ” There’s a quiet intensity in his eyes, the kind that suggests he means what he says.
"I can be found in the Town of Vallaki, where I will be putting on a show. Seek me out and I will reward you." With a nod, he turns back to his wagon, muttering under his breath as he inspects the damage again. The tiger lets out a soft growl, its golden eyes watching you as you depart, the stolen cub still weighing heavily on your mind.
