Kolyan Indirovich

Kolyan Indirovich is the esteemed burgomaster of the village of Barovia. An older man with thinning gray hair, he often leans heavily on a cane, a testament to both his age and the wounds he has sustained in the defense of his village. Heavy, bloodstained bandages wrap around his stomach, forehead, and left knee, visible signs of his recent struggles against the encroaching darkness that threatens his home.
Kolyan is a steely and strong-willed leader, yet his demeanor is softened by a deep compassion for his people. He carries the weight of his responsibilities with dignity, always putting the safety and well-being of his villagers and family first. Despite the grim circumstances that surround Barovia, he maintains a supportive and cheerful presence within his household, wholly dedicated to his children.
Despite his ailments, Kolyan remains resolute. When confronted by a mob of villagers led by Alenka Konstantinova, who demand that he surrender Ireena as a sacrifice to appease Strahd, Kolyan stands firm. He refuses to betray his moral compass or endanger his daughter, showcasing his unwavering commitment to his principles and family.
