Father Donavich
Father Donavich serves as the priest of the Church of the Morninglord in the Village of Barovia. His life took a tragic turn when his son, Doru, joined a rebellion against Strahd. The uprising failed, and Doru returned as a vampire spawn, sent by Strahd to torment his father. Unable to destroy his own son, Donavich imprisoned Doru in the church's undercroft, hoping to find a cure through prayer.
When adventurers arrive at the Church of the Moringlord, they find Father Donavich in a state of despair, his faith tested by his son's condition. He seeks their assistance in freeing Doru from his vampiric curse, believing that only then can he restore his faith and continue his duties as a priest.
