In Tethyr, Crown Prince Alemander V and General Sharboneth start a fire that consumes Castle Tethyr, killing both of them as well as King Alemander IV and the rest of the royal family. In the Ten Black Days of Eleint, from the 13th to the 22nd of Eleint, Tethyr is wracked with hysteria. Nobles are slain and many castles and temples destroyed, while hundreds of innocent folk with any connection to they royal family are murdered. The Tethyrian civil war begins.
