Savras

Savras (pronounced: /ˈsɑːvrɑːs/ SAV-ras) is the deity of wizards, divination, fate, and truth in the Faerûnian pantheon. The Lord of Divination lost his place as the god of spellcasters to Azuth and swore an oath of fealty to him, becoming the specific deity of his school of magic. While some believed He of the Third Eye guided the forces of destiny, others thought he knew all history but was unable to affect it, his emotionless demeanor a mask to hide his deep concern for Faerun's fate despite his relative inability to change it.

Ever since Savras's loss, sages have speculated that the All-Seeing One must have foreseen his own defeat. If this is true, perhaps Savras planned his own defeat as a feint in a long-term ploy for victory. Only he can say, and he refuses to speak on it.

He and Velsharoon serve Azuth thus serving Mystra indirectly He resents his service to Azuth, but the two are steadily, if cautiously, establishing a formal division of portfolios and responsibilities, and a more amiable relationship.

Worshipers and Orders

Savras is worshiped in both the north and south as a god of diviners and truth-speakers. His clergy were still sparse in the late 14th century DR, as he had just been released from his centuries-old prison. The most devout worshipers carried around elaborate staves with them at in the hope that their god might make their staff his temporary residence.

The Benign Order of the Third Eye is a secretive cult of mostly archivists formed in 1371 DR that were granted a vision from Savras stressing the need to collect magic and lore in preparation for an upcoming battle with Cyric . Unfortunately they became overzealous and turned to grave robbing.
