The Orchid
In the northeastern Flooded Forest lies a monastery built and maintained by The Paper Tigers, a sisterhood of religious artisans. Called the Orchid, the monastery is an exquisite work of dedication and craft. To obtain all their materials, The sisters perform a ritualistic papermaking process using the wood of duskwood trees. This paper is used in all their work, including the monastery itself.
The Orchid is secluded and well-guarded, supposedly built in a focal point of spiritual energy. Part of its function is as a temple to the demigod Thoth, Keeper of Knowledge. As such, the monastery boasts an extensive library of texts from lands near and far.
The Orchid is luxurious, with housing for hundreds of sisters. Workshops, training yards, recreational areas, kitchens, and meeting rooms can also be found throughout. The elf Ihara Saik is the most senior sister and stewardess of The Orchid.
