Heimdall Bearcloak

Heimdall has never had an easy life starting when he lost his parents at a young age. The tribe unable to take him, left him on the island of Oman certain of death at the hands of the giants. Heimdall was a clever lad and was able to hide. One day he came across a orphan bear cub and together they would survive the island. When Heimdall was about 16 he and his bear Grayface found themselves in front a giant after a long fought battle Heimdall killed the giant but Grayface was mortally wounded. With the death of Heimdall's only one he considered family, he made the skin into a cloak to honor and remember his family. He decided it was time to leave the island and join the outside world. Most of his young life he raided with his fellow clans and gained a reputation of being strong and savage like a bear. In his 25th year he received news that his fathers brother was looking for him.
His uncle had been banned from the family before Heimdall was born due to wanting to trade with the outside world instead of raiding. The Uncle moved to Waterdeep to setup his trade. And in his twilight years and no family to pass on his legacy he heard of a strange raider that was abandoned by his tribe after his parents died. While the family hadn't talked with him he kept tabs on his family the best he could, and sent an invite to his nephew to come to Waterdeep to meet him.

After numerous years of raiding Heimdall has always strived for and wanted a family. So a invite from this mysterious uncle was to good to pass up. Heimdall found the nearest transport heading to Waterdeep to find this uncle of his. But As Heimdall left for Waterdeep he could sense a storm was brewing. As the days passed the Storm raged. One night Heimdall heard a loud crack that woke him from his sleep. As Heimdall stands he sees the ship being ripped apart and he is cast into the sea. He blacked out and only remembers brief visions of a humanoid with fins dragging him out of the water.
