The Lady of Lost Ways
Min Hei, the Lady of Lost Ways (neither of which are her real name), is the most powerful woman in the city-state of Bazhou. She dwells in the dark beneath the city of lights, where only the truly desperate go to find her. Many of the city's movers and shakers, including prominent politicians, financiers, and even cult leaders, owe her a favor or two. That wouldn't be so bad, if her chosen payment didn't tend to be a piece of one's soul.
The Lady appears tall and gaunt, her eyes always in shadow, with stringy black hair and a complexion that some believe betrays her as undead. Speculation as to her true race is rampant, though no one is foolish enough to ask her.
