The Faceless Brotherhood

While most stories of the Faceless Brotherhood lie in myth and legend, everyone knows that with every folk-tale lies a hint of truth.
People claim the Brotherhood is a guild of changelings, with posts and bases all across the continent of Eyrar. For the right price, they can be harbingers of chaos to any kingdom or organization. They specialize in espionage, insurrection and distrust. Some say whole kingdoms have risen and fallen under their influence.
No one is really sure where the changelings came from, but their presence has left a mark in Eyrar history. The first recorded actions of the Brotherhood take place in 213 P.S., a portion of what is now Warham was run by a powerful Orcish king with many children. The king loved his children, and many of them were responsible for different portions of the kingdom. It was growing rapidly, and gaining a lot of wealth with exports. An unknown party hired the Brotherhood, sending one of their operatives into the kingdom, assassinating the king, taking his face, and wreaking havoc and dissent among the children. The infighting became so severe that the 15 children split the kingdom into several tribes, and constantly went to war with each other. To this day, Warham remains tribal, unable to unite as a whole kingdom.

Among other things, it is believed that the Brotherhood worships The Shadow, making them a target for holy warriors of the Host.
