Orcitro Snars
These snar trap vines are found around the Northern Mountains, and hikes should watch their step. These vines are apparently a natural stage of the Orcitro Vine. A type of carnivorous vine. However the vine does not seem to be alive in its snar form. Instead providing the new vines with a high dose of nutrients.
It is theorized that after the Orcitro Plant dies it becomes far more elastic that the living plant. The dieing vine still has large red jelly looking fruits hanging from them. These are ment to lur in prey. An unsuspecting animal will try to eat the fruit, and find itself hanging from a strangling vine. The vine loops itself around its victims, then snaps tight with enough force to break small bones. Killing small animals instantly.
Orcitro Vines grow in the Northern Mountains. Climbing up trees and draping down from their branches. They prefer deciduos trees, with wide branches. The Orcitro Vine starts out small, thin vines growing in the crevices in the tree bark. As they get bigger they wind around the branches and start to drap down. They have narrow blade like leaves that can easily cut. They are a carnivorous vine. Getting their nutrients from blood and animal carcasses.
Even the fruit is dangerous, dispite its very tempting apperance. The fruit even has a sweet citrus smell, to further entice prey. However it is acidic and can burn slowly killing whatever consumed them.
Some people check the Orcitro Vines every day, taking fresh kills for themselves. Others collect the vines to use in other places. The fruit can be used for pest control.
