Biobond
Biobond is a medical grade glue used for closing cuts, and reparing tears in skin. It comes in Topical and Internal. Topical is the main type.
Both types of Biobond are always kept in stock in the Medcenter. While it can't completely replace stitches, it does have advantages.
Biobond is a specific type of medical glue that was created by the Extraction Medcenter. It can be applied quickly to surface level cuts, directly after cleaning. It contains both a aniseptic and mild topical anesthetic. It dries in minutes, making it far faster than stitches, and less painful. It creates a completely waterproof seal, and keeps the wound free of bacteria. You don't need to have a doctor remove it for you because it peels off naturally after five to ten days.
Biobond is often used on areas like the face to help minamize scaring. While it can be quite flexible, stitches are better in places like joints where lots of movement occurs.
Biobond Internal is a second medical glue formula that can be used to seal tissues and pvent leaks during surgery. It desolves after a time instead of peeling. The Internal version also includes aniseptic, but not anesthetic.
Small jars of topical are also included in first aid kits, and kept in stock in each Bio Dome basecamp. It is recommended to bring it on all missions. All agents learn how to use it during mission training.
Look for the small green jar. Use the applicator brush to apply glue to the wound. Keep area still for a few minutes untill the glue dries.
