Ornn, The Forge Father

Protector God

Most likely the most secluded God out of them all, besides The Kindred themselves. After Ornn finished the Dwarves he decided that they were fine on their own and left for his own forge up in the isolated Freljord. When humans moved up north, he did his best to ignore them. Eventually they started gathering around his volcano building the town of Nileforge, offering him the things they had made for his approval. Even though Ornn refused to admit it, he slowly grew fond of the people and their work. They were tough and their work was competent. During the War in Heaven, Ornn did his best not to get involved. But when Urgash's monsters burnt down Nileforge he took up his hammer and went to war. Ornn took to helping Alibastar build the Divine Gate and ungrading the arms of all of the Protector forces.

The Forge

Worship of Ornn quite different to the other Gods. Where most will have you pray and give offerings, Ornn requires none of that. He doesn't want anything from the mortals. Those who wish to worship him are expected to do so in creation. Build or craft something. The temples themselves are just a forge. People can take their creations to these forges to be assessed. The head smith looks over the item and will either approve, or give you advice on how to do it better.

The Order of Forge Masters

Generally a more passive order, The Forge Masters wander the earth, judging the works of smiths. If they deem the work worthy they move on. Those who need improvement are helped. While this is the main work of the order, they also spend a lot of time as monster hunters. Ornn's hatred of Urgash's children runs deep and so his paladins seek them out where ever they hide.   The Forges Shall Burn: When we find a struggling smith, we offer them whatever assistance we can.
Urgash's Childen will Die:
Monsters will be found and destroyed, wherever they hide.
Practical Over Pretty: A creation should only be functional. Do not waste energy on making it pretty.

The Forge

To Ornn, everything is simple. There is no need for fancy names or decorations. The Forge is made up of a large furnace that Ornn uses, surrounded by thousands of smaller ones. When a soul enters the Forge, they gain access to unlimited resources to make their wildest dreams. Those who feel they have made something great can offer it up to Ornn for inspection. So far he has never looked at an item.

Ornn's Hammer

Once again, Ornn has taken a simple approach to naming. After the creation of The Divine Gate, Ornn gave his favorite hammer to his favorite smith. The powers of this hammer aren't exactly clear, some say it helps you craft masterpieces. Others believe that you could even use it to break down The Divine Gate.
