Yeenoghu - Beast of Butchery
Yeenoghu is one of the Abyssal Lords of the Abyss. They are a violent and murderous hunter, who desires nothing but slaughter and senseless destruction.
Yeenoghu is a hunter foremost, they know not of mercy or rest, ceaselessly pursuing their chosen prey and brutally butchering all that stood between them and their rabid slaughter. Yeenoghu takes great pleasure in the chase and the fear it causes their victims.
Yeenoghu is the progenitor of all Gnolls, hyenas twisted and corrupted into the image of the Lord of Savagery themself. Gnolls worship Yeenoghu like a god, bound in a cruel and ravenous servitude, driven to commit ever-greater atrocities in Yeenoghu’s name.
Appearance:
Yeenoghu appears as a massive battle-scarred Gnoll, a bipedal, hyena-like creature with black matted fur, a thick spotted leathery hide and a bushy tail. They have a hunched back and a large maw filled with serrated teeth. Yeenoghu is known to adorn themselves with trophies and the flayed skins of their prey.Realm:
Yeenoghu resides in a part of the Abyss known as the Death Dells. A land filled with hills, ravines, wide savannas, dead forests and pools of parasite-filled water. Yeenoghu stalks the land as their own personal hunting ground, the decaying remains of their former prey lying scattered across the landscape. It is said that dark mages, either as punishment or offering, would send captives or enemies to the Death Dells as prey for Yeenoghu, to be hunted and slaughtered in a cruel and twisted game.
