The Gigantes
The Gigantes, or the First Giants, are a group of thirteen monstrous Giants with the strength to rival the Gods themselves. They were violent and bloodthirsty creatures, with only a mind for death and destruction.
The Gigantes are the favourite children of Gaia. They were created by their mother as part of her plot to usurp the Gods. Born from a union between Gaia and Tartarus, the Gigantes were bred for war.
There were thirteen Gigantes, each formed of one of the materials found in the domain of the Earth. Alcyoneus and Porphyrion were said to be the strongest of the Giants:
- Agrius: Basalt
- Alcyoneus: Iron
- Clytius: Sandstone
- Enceladus: Gold
- Ephialtes: Limestone
- Eurytus: Lead
- Gration: Granite
- Hippolytus: Mercury
- Mimas: Silver
- Pallas: Tin
- Polybotes: Copper
- Porphyrion: Platinum
- Thoas: Andesite.

The Gigantes were said to be hairless, masculine giants. They were usually muscular in form and their skin resembled one of the materials of the earth.
