The Exorsian Civil Wars

The most mighty cities were that of the Elves who had spread and adapted across the many environments of the Planes. From within the Underdark did rise Lolth the Elven Queen, who strove for dominance over the mortal world, seeing all other races as inferior to her Drow. Backed by the Dark Gods she began her conquest and once again Exorsia was plunged into war.
The Gods, who over the aeons had grown bitter of their relatives, saw this mortal war as an opportunity, so in proxi they backed their favoured subjects and so the many factioned war for dominance over Exorsia did come to be.
Over four hundred years war raged across the planes, cities rose and fell, alliances were made and broken, God fought against God. Here did rise the Grey Elves of Lorth’elon who rebelled against the tyrant Lolth and so did rise the resilience of man who did flourish in war. So also did fall the Elves of the Silven Vale who lost themselves to wild magics.
As the war drew to its close the Dark Queen Lolth drew upon forbidden magics, ascending herself to godhood as the Spider Queen. But it was not enough, the forces of evil were defeated, Lolth was trapped within the Shadowfell and her Drow banished back to the Underdark.
The Elven population was decimated, their numbers dwindled. Taking their place as the dominant race was the Human who had flourished in war.
