Psionics

Psionics are a type of supernatural mental power exhibited by certain creatures, particularly by Aberrations. Practitioners of Psionics are sometimes called Psions.

Psionics usually include the use of Telekinesis and Telepathy, and while Magic can replicate these effects, Psionics are not actually a form of Magic, which they are often confused for. While both Magic and Psionics allow the user to supernaturally influence the world around them, Psionics do not draw on the Source, and instead it draws directly on the mental or psychic energy of the user. Psionics also lack the need for the incantations commonly used for Spellcasting, allowing Psionics to be performed unnoticed. 

Those who possess Psionic powers tend to have them innately, as Psionics are an almost impossible skill to learn, with some Mages spending decades in the pursuit of Psionic powers, to no avail.
