Orcus - Prince of Undeath
Orcus is one of the Abyssal Lords of the Abyss and the favourite child of Tartarus. They are a tyrannical, power hungry entity and master necromancer, wishing to transform the universe into a vast necropolis of undead, all under Orcus’ control.
The Prince of Undeath is misanthropic and exceptionally narcissistic, caring only about themselves. They despise all life, from their father Tartarus to the very undead servants they command. Orcus despises mortals above all, wanting nothing more than to bend them to their undying will.
Orcus is famed for the legendary artefact that they wield, the Wand of Orcus, a skull-topped wand that only enhances Orcus’ already unmatched control over undeath.
Orcus has vast power and influence over the denizens of the Abyss and beyond. They are believed to be the most powerful of all the Abyssal Lords, capable of rivalling the Demogorgon.
Appearance:
Orcus appears as a rot-bloated humanoid figure covered in signs of corruption and disease. They have the hooved legs of a goat, a poison tipped, spined tail and great bat-like wings that sprout from their back. Their head is that of a horned goat skull, all the flesh rotted from it, with a maw of tusk-like teeth.Realm:
Orcus resides in a part of the Abyss known as Naratyr. A cold, dark and quiet realm, absent of life. The land was a mix of bone and flesh, home only to the legions of undead under Orcus’ control. It is said that necromantic magic is especially potent in Naratyr.
