Mithrim

The Mithrim are a guild of miners who control the mines beneath Kronghenton. They protect and harvest the remnants of the continents resources, particularly the incredibly rare Mithril ore, with the Mithrim being the largest supplier of the ore in Exorsia, and what gives the Mithrim their name.

While their trade is incredibly profitable, with buyers across the world, the work of the Mithrim is also an incredibly dangerous one, due to the harsh conditions and treacherous landscape of Kronghenton, as well as the terrible monsters that stalk both the surface and the underground. Because of this many of the Mithrim miners are only temporary workers, travelling from across the world to work the Mithrim Mines for a few years in order to accumulate funds, before returning home.

But the Mithrim are incredibly territorial over their claim of the mines beneath Kronghenton, and are very selective over who they allow to join their ranks, and work their mines. A majority of their members are Dwarves, and are sworn to secrecy upon leaving the Mithrim, with whistle-blowers quickly found dead following their betrayal. The Mithrim are also known to attack and even kill those who trespass beneath the island. Due to the Kronghenton's harsh conditions and treacherous landscape, their claim over the island is rarely contested.

The Mithrim are led by the Framkvæmdastjórn (Dwarvish - Board of Directors), a council of Mithrim miners who have lived on Kronghenton for generations, with title being passed down through the bloodline. New members of the Framkvæmdastjórn are only initiated after one's bloodline has lived on the continent from at least 3 generations. Any members of the Framkvæmdastjórn that moves away and leaves Kronghenton has their bloodline immediately removed from contention to join the Framkvæmdastjórn.
