Forvarkan

Forvarkan was once a mighty kingdom of Giants located on the island continent of Kronghenton. It was a vast complex that expanded over a large portion of the island, filled with grand halls, beautiful courtyards and a mighty forge. Its most impressive structure was the Throne of the God-King, a beautiful palace built around a massive mountain whose peak reached above the clouds, its name translated from Giant is “God-King Mountain.”
Forvarkan was founded during the Silver Age as a place where Giants from all over the Universe could come and live, free from violence and discrimination the Giant species had suffered since the Gigantonomy. Forvarkan was said to house every species of Giant from Stone Giants to Sea Giants, but any other species was barred from the island.
The kingdom was governed by a forum of elected citizens who had equal say in the politics of the city.
The kingdom was peaceful, for a time. The city would eventually open its borders to allow trade, allowing the mastercraft of the Giants to be spread across the Universe, turning the city into a lucrative trade capital.
But it was not to last, factions across the world grew jealous of Forvarkan’s wealth and prosperity, wanting it for themselves. Foreign Giants also plotted against the city, seeing it as a weakness and an affront to Gaia. Early during the Age of Arcanum the city was flung into a Civil War, factions fought for control of the city, each funded by a foreign power. The war lasted for a decade until finally the city lay in ruins, its wealth stolen and its people either dead or fled.
In the modern day most of the ruins are covered in a heavy layer of snow and ice, with the island of Kronghenton mostly uninhabited, no longer a vibrant ecosystem now that the Giants have forsaken it.
