Equalisers

The Equalisers were a revolutionary faction from the city of Maran, Hepsut that fought a successful battle against the corrupt city government to bring equality between people with magic and those without.
The revolutionaries specialised in a foreign style of unarmed combat and had use of advanced technology developed by a figure known as the Builder, who was eventually revealed to be the tech developer Samara Madani. There were also rumours circulated that some members of the Equalisers were capable of removing magic from people, making them unable to spellcast.
The Equalisers were led by a figure known as Emir the Liberator, they piloted an anti-magic campaign, gaining massive public popularity within the city. Emir the Liberator was assassinated before he could see his plans come to fruition, killed by those within the Equalisers who wished to use the faction for their own evil means.
Eventually the Equalisers led a city wide battle that resulted in the toppling of the corrupt city government, and its leader Lady Lenora Madel. A new government was installed and the Equalisers were disbanded soon after.
