Adoption

Adoption is a very common custom among many of Exorisa’s people. Outside of a couple of ethnic groups and factions, bloodline holds very little weight in Exorsian lineage. Adoptions can range from being done out of love to being purely practical. Many same sex couples, or people who can’t have kids adopt, and since businesses and titles are traditionally passed down through the next of kin many people adopt their successors into their family to smooth over the transition, this is commonly seen in the Clans of Dun’Vol as well as in the Varin Empire’s royal family.
