Aarakocra

Aarakocra are bird-like humanoids that are rarely seen outside of their small mountain tribes, and those that do find it difficult to adapt to crowded and polluted cities.   Most Aarakocra live in small tribes that are usually found in Soliemia or Terrasmus, where they live atop high mountain peaks in a communal nest. These Aarakocra are commonly hostile to outsiders and even other Aarakocra tribes, fighting each other from dominance over the mountains.   These Aarakocra tribes are usually patriarchal with the eldest male Aarakocra serving as tribe leader while the other males are responsible for hunting and defending their home. Meanwhile, female Aaarakocra are responsible for child rearing and crafting the tribe's tools and weapons.   These Aarakocra worship the God Zeus, their Divine patron, who they depict as a colossal eagle that roars like thunder and calls upon lighting with every flap of its wings.

Aarakocra are bird-like humanoid with beaks, talons and feathers. They have thin, lightweight bodies and a pair of wings that double as arms.   Aarakocra mature much faster than Humans, reaching adulthood around the age of 3.
