Baalzebul - The Archduke of Maladomini

Baalzebul, sometimes called the ‘Lord of Flies’, is the Archdevil of Gluttony and the Archduke of Maladomini, the seventh layer of the Nine Hells. They are a ravenous and lazy devil, taking little care of their realm, allowing Maladomni to become a desolate ruin. It is said that they carry a curse that causes any deal made with them to lead to calamity.
Baalzebul is most famous for their constant consumption, consuming anything they can get their hands on, from food to magical objects. Baalzebul constantly engorges themselves, absorbing the essence of anything they consume.
Despite their appearance, Baalzebul is still dangerously cunning and charismatic, with a complex network of spies all across the universe. This makes Baalzebul a valuable ally, especially with his reputation of never lying, making the lies he did tell extremely effective. It also means Baalzebul is always aware of plots and movements made against him, giving him an unparalleled layer of safety compared to many of the other Archdukes.
Even with their exceptional influence Baalzebul is still a miserable and degenerate monstrosity who has long conspired to usurp Asmodeus. Yet Baalzebul has failed at every turn, giving up at the first sign of inconvenience.
In spite of Baalzebul’s flaws they are still well respected among the Hells, even gaining favour from Asmodeus himself, to the confusion of many.

Apperance

Baalzebul is a androgynous humanoid, tall and obese with mucusy yellow skin and six jittering, compound eyes of a fly. They also have small insectoid wings, large curved horns and are usually clothless.
Baalzebul is also known to take the form of a swarm of flies or locusts or that of a gargantuan slug.
