He was promoted to the position during a time of war, so for most political decisions he is happy to make political decision with his Council of Theyn's, but is can make a decision when speed need it, but is happy to except the council's decision to change it. "this is the Clan way". Quite often this can case problems with outsider that do not realise that a Jarls contact can be changed by the Clan Council or by the High King of the Clan's.
