Great Dynasty War
When the Slivare (one of the first reptile race) became the ruling Dynasty. They attempted to use advanced Magi-tech and crystal Tech to in-slave all the nonreptile spices within Ex-illis and the rest of the world.
Almost all of the other Dynasties within Ex-illis went to war with them, calling themselves the Republic. With the Slivare Dynasty becoming the Imperial forces. These names were used due to people from other nations choosing to fight on both sides.
Thuse it was called the Imperal-Republic war at the time but became known as The Great Dynasty War after. The war dragged on until it had almost depopulated many of the great nations of the time all across the world. Causing many of them to collapse.
It only truly ended when the The Original 10 intervened to prevent the total destruction of all the people.
Knowledge of how to make advanced Magi-Tech, including the gate network, was removed from mortal's hands until they could again use it responsibly. The Slivare were almost wiped out as a spice, with the survivors being stripped of all knowledge and the ability to use crystal and Magi-tech by The Original 10.
