Council of Nine

The Council of Nine is a governing religious body composed of high-ranking priests, each representing one of the Powers. Tasked with maintaining balance among the faiths, they convene to deliberate on doctrine, mediate disputes, and oversee religious practices. While individual temples operate with autonomy, the council ensures broad theological cohesion, preventing any single deity’s followers from dominating The Covenant. In structured religious environments, such as the Royal Covenant of Aeritain, the council works alongside bishops who provide additional governance. Their decisions influence worship, doctrine, and temple relations, preserving unity while allowing for regional variations in religious interpretation and practice.
