The Eldari Empire

A true world power in Exhoria, The Eldari Empire is a coalition of wealthy and powerful city-states. Eldareth serves as the empire's capital and seat of power, ruled by descendants of The Eldar. Of the first elves, 2 factions formed. One was a more reclusive group that wished to stay hidden from the world to protect their ancient knowledge and magic. While the other had a sense of adventure and wished to strike out into the world. This second group left the Eldarwood and settled to the south. The clans of elves separated and formed settlements that would eventually grow into the cities that make up the empire.

Structure

The Emperor serves as representation of Eldareth and is the High Lord Imperator for the Empire. He is kept in check by a council of representatives from each of the other 5 cities. 2 representatives each for a council of 10.

Public Agenda

To keep the empire safe and rich.

Assets

Eldarpor imports rare and exotic goods from Cadran which lies to the east across the Eldari sea and the Ocean Expanse. This trade makes Eldarpor very rich and the empire in turn. Aele's Hall, Aesteran and Eldareth both have rich mines in their mountains nearby. (These mines are protected by metallic dragons.) Aeleth has the most open land of all the city-states and serves as the breadbasket of the empire. Aeleth feeds the empire and the empire keeps Aeleth rich for it.

History

Settled by the more adventurous of the Eldar elves. Before the elves came; there were human farms, halfling shires, gnome hollows, ogier steadings and dwarven halls. All of these races are still well represented throughout the empire, making it the most diverse kingdom in Exhoria (and they are very proud of this.) A good many humans have married more common elven families creating a broad culture of half elves. The south used to be inhabited by orcs, but as the empire grew and became more powerful they were able to push the orcs beyond Kayl's Wall. (Kayl was the elven general of the army that fought the orcs.)
