Structure

A council of the House of Alliance is called every month to discuss business. It has 15 members and often meets for days at a time. Once a priest is elected to the council, he/she hold the position for life. The age, however that on average,e a new member would be placed on the council is above 68 years old so it is a long process to gain a council seat.

History

Caicos was established to be the final stronghold of old Eastern Order that controlled the lands on the Eastern edge of The Continent of Stabatia for Melenier. The old Eastern Order collapsed 778 years ago in the year ^C_L 4L 995, and Caicos was established a few years later with the hope of re-establishing the old order in the region. It is important not to confuse the Old Eastern Order with The Old Order which is a phrase that generally describes the Western Order based around the Zients Old Order Trade Routes that were established over the The Continent of Romalia and the western side of the The Continent of Stabatia. This Western Order collapsed 114 years ago after approximately 15,000 years of zients Controlled Trade Routes.
A group of theologians from the collapsing Eastern Order fled east and settled in the rocky northern Caicos region, establishing 15 years after their arrival the hilltop fortress of Alliance. Their religious lands spread south taking in some of the mainland and this became the country of Caicos we see today.

Military

The country has no military, only a civil police force. It has never gone to war with another country.

Religion

The Clergy runs this country as a learning retreat. Documents old and new are brought to the monistories by passing traders and as such the monks have one of the best archives this world has ever known.

Trade & Transport

Many years ago, the two trading orders. Eastern Order based around the Visigoth Sea and Fortress Bay, and the Zients Old Order Trade Routes, based on the The Continent of Romalia and reaching to the Western Visigoth Sea and down to the Omgivunna Bay coincided together very well. After the Eastern Orders collapsed, however, trade from the west slowed right down to a trickle of its past value.
